Robin Snip Agnes Evans / Agnes the Ass-Hatted

Robin is a classically trained actor from Toronto. She moved to the County ten years ago and lives on a farm with her husband and two daughters.

Robin is excited to be playing Agnes in her fifth show with Shatterbox. Her first role with the company was as Grace in Small Room at the Top of the Stairs and her most recent was Fraulein Schneider in last fall’s Cabaret, a role she will be reprising in November.

Robin is so grateful for the opportunities she has been given to share the stories of so many strong and vulnerable women. Like Agnes, she started this journey knowing very little about Dungeons and Dragons, but it’s amazing what you can learn about yourself when you open your heart to new experiences.

Laura Lee Tilly Evans / Tillius the Paladin

Laura Lee is ecstatic to be playing Tilly in her first Shatterbox Theatre production! This will be her second ever role in a play and she is thrilled to play such a cool badass character. Outside of practice Laura gets up to reading playing games and trying to survive Rugby. In her last year at Nicholson she is so excited to be participating in an incredible production with such kind and talented people.

Julianna Tyers Chuck ‘DM’ Biggs

Julianna Tyers has been an avid lover of the arts since she first watched a stage production of The Wizard of Oz when she was seven. Now over a decade later she gets to feel the joy of performing. Not a stranger to the stage, Tyers has worked with Shatterbox in three previous productions. From Spring Awakening to The Drowning Girls and most recently The Crucible. She was elated to bring the characters of Ernst Robel, Alice Burnham, and Abigail Williams, respectively, to life. The young performer also gave the audience memorable performances as the deadpan Mrs. White in Clue on Stage and the adorable Lion in The Wizard of Oz, in local productions. Luckily for her, the time under the spotlight wasn’t confined to there. She also performed on one of the NAC stages in a national improv competition. From comedy to tragedy Tyers wishes to give the audience the best experience possible.

Now she comes to you as Chuck ‘DM’ Biggs in Shatterbox’s production of She Kills Monsters. Come watch her bring this loveable nerd to life.

Jocelyn Brant Narrator

Jocelyn Brant studied acting for stage and screen in Vancouver, and co-created, co-wrote and co-starred in the 2015 critically acclaimed web series, “Cracked: a web series”, for which she was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the 2015 Vancouver Web Series Festival. She returned to the stage after 10 years, as a director for ‘Two Minutes to Midnight’ with River & Main; and as an actor in ‘Hilda’s Yard’ at BTG. This is her first acting role with Shatterbox Theatre Company and she is thrilled to be working with this delightful and extraordinarily talented cast.

Grace Conroy-Sabyan Vera / The Beholder

Grace is elated to join her first Shatterbox Theatre production. A proud nerd and lifelong fan of the fantasy genre, when she was introduced to Dungeons & Dragons just a few years ago, it was love at first roll. Whether it’s causing mayhem, solving puzzles, or spending hours creating a character backstory, she revels in immersing herself in this fantastical world.

When she’s not rolling nat ones, Grace runs her family’s inn and writes for one of the local newspapers.

She Kills Monsters will be Grace’s foray back into the realm of theatre since her university days and she’s beholden to the incredible team at Shatterbox who are bringing this show to life.

Dani Marks Ronnie / Orcus

Dani is excited to be in her first Shatterbox Theatre show. There are so many layers to this play and it has been a pleasure to explore those depths with this incredible, talented and nerdy cast. Part of the reason Dani normally enjoys acting because someone tells you where to sit, when to get up, what to say etc. and if you do it wrong (in rehearsal) you can just do it over until it’s right. Not only that, but you know how the other person is supposed to respond and they can also do it over if they get it wrong. She often wishes life were like that, as it’s difficult to feel as if you are on the right path because there are so many choices to make and so many ways to go. There are always many ways things can play out in D&D and sometimes it is up to a roll of the dice. Dani invites you to forget all the decisions you have to make and all the stress about whether or not the were the right ones and watch some one else struggle with that for the duration of this play. Oh yeah, and have fun!

Nova Lichti Stevie / Great Mage Stevie

Nova is a grade 10 student from Nicholson she enjoys spending her time outside in nature, doing artsy activities and hanging out with her friends and family. Nova has been in many productions with Shatterbox and with other theatre companies in roles ranging from ensemble to main characters to stage manager. She enjoys theatre because it pushes her out of her comfort zone, allows her to meet new people and learn new things about herself and the world. She is excited about putting on and being in She Kills Monsters and the message that it sends, showing some of what goes on inside the mind of LGBTQ+ youth.

Isabella Auciello Evil Tina / Tina the Succubus

Bella is so excited to be working with Shatterbox theatre on their production of “She Kills Monsters” playing Evil Tina. She has worked with Shatterbox before playing Mary Warren in “The Crucible”, and Jo in “Without Rule of Law”. Bella didn’t come from a theatre background but fell in love with the stage at the age of 10 when she was in a her schools production of “The Jungle Book” where she played Sher-Kan. Bella is currently 15 years old and has been in multiple plays, musicals, and short films, learning about the art of theatre and expanding her skills. Outside of theatre Bella is a competitive figure skater, and loves to strength train in the gym to improve her athletic abilities. In her free time she loves to craft, cook, and learn songs on her alto saxophone. Bella is honored to be part of this production and hopes to bring energy, depth, and excitement to the stage.

Lula Rodriguez Reid Lily / Lilith Morningstar

Lula is thrilled to be playing Lilith in her Shatterbox Theatre debut! Recently moving from BC, Lula has performed in over 30 productions in her 16 years. Some of her favorite roles include Alice in Alice in Wonderland, Lucy in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, and Amelia Von Ripper in The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. When she’s not on stage, Lula loves to dance just as much as she loves to act. She is currently enrolled in the arts program at Centennial Secondary School, where she will be playing Sebastian in The Little Mermaid. Trading in her usual fairy tale and fantasy characters for a fishnet-wearing, monster-slaying demon queen is a big shift—but she’s having a blast embracing her inner warrior!

Ella Kools Kelly / Kaliope Darkwater

This is Ella’s first show with shatterbox and she is very exited to be a part of she kills monsters. Ella plays loves playing D&D and acting because it’s fun to pretend to be someone else for a little bit if it’s a fantastical creature or just a normal person. She has done a couple of smaller productions with school and a radio play in grade 7 however she has been in theatre spaces since she was little. Her Mom (Mumu) has been in many plays and directed a few as well and she is where Ella got her love for theatre from, but unfortunately she inherited none of the musical talent from her or her Dad (Daddy).

Aaron Armstrong Miles / The Doppelganger

Aaron is thrilled to be playing once again with Shatterbox Theatre. After last year’s amazing experience in Cabaret as Victor (or is it Bobby?) the Kit Kat Boy, his love of theatre has been reignited and – well – he’s hooked. A graduate from York University in Theatre Studies, Aaron can lately be found within the walls of Midtown Brewing Company hosting pub trivia or with his butt firmly planted at the latest screening at The Regent nerding out about film. Past credits include The Mousetrap, Twice Around The Park (Theatre Collingwood), Godspell (South Simcoe Theatre), Bad Day At Black Frog Creek (Banting Theatre).

Stephane Gauthier Puppeteer

Stephane relocated from Montreal to Prince Edward County in 2017, after falling in love with the area a few years earlier. Together with his husband, he has enjoyed the local theatre scene over the years. When he saw the casting call for She Kills Monsters, despite having no prior acting experience, he felt compelled to audition.

With decades of experience playing and game mastering Dungeons & Dragons and other tabletop role-playing games, Stephane has a deep connection to the world of TTRPGs. Growing up in the 80s and 90s, during a time when D&D was still emerging and not widely popular, he relates to the feeling of being an outsider, especially as he navigated his own coming out journey. As someone who identifies with the challenges of being a “”nerd”” and facing fears of rejection from friends and family, Stephane is proud to be part of this cast and to bring to life the various characters and creatures that have been integral to his passions for so long.

Amber Peeling Puppeteer

Amber is thrilled to be part of this production. With a lifelong passion for the performing arts, she has been involved in many shows and loves sharing that passion with others. In her free time, Amber enjoys reading, working on her piano skills and going on adventures. She hopes the audience enjoys the show as much as she enjoys being a part of it!

Abbie Phillips Puppeteer

Abbie is 15 and loves to learn new instruments and to sing. Abbie has been in multiple different production in belleville ON, Stirling ON, and now in picton, including my first job(s) The musical as a soloist, Percy Jackson and the lightning thief the musical as Annabeth, bus to Bellevegus as Jack, and many others. Abbie it also a songwriter and will be releasing some of her original music in the near future on apple music, Spotify, ect that she recorded in Nashville! She is very exited to be a Puppeteer in our production of she kills monsters!
